Qatar Charity has launched a summer programme, named ‘Tomorrow's Volunteers’ for youth, both male and female, under ‘Ezdehar’ an incubator for initiatives and volunteering, aimed at building the capacities of volunteers.The programme started in July and will continue until the end of August. It has been well-received by Qatar Charity’s volunteers.The summer programme includes training camps and various activities, including "Your Week with Us is Different - Bring out the Volunteer within You", which targets boys aged 12-14 year. It aims to promote volunteering and community work, acquaint them with different areas of volunteering, and raise awareness about the importance of volunteering at a personal level.The second programme is named ‘Your Week with Us is Different - Be a Sports Volunteer’. It targets children aged 10-11 years. It aims to encourage the participating children to engage in volunteer work through sports activities.The 'Create Your Community Campaign' programme includes workshops and training activities that help participants acquire the principles of volunteerism and enable them to create innovative community campaigns. The workshops were conducted by several experienced trainers, targeting the age group of 15-17.Besides, there are some other programmes for female volunteers to utilise their time in the community service.The participants in the programmes expressed their appreciation for the workshops conducted under the various camps that included several educational and recreational activities, as well as field visits. They learned from inspirational experiences in volunteer work and got acquainted with various intellectual, field-based, and sports-related volunteering opportunities.
