Qatar Charity's Al Khozama programme for girls imparts diverse life skills

Al Khozama programme, organised by Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development, Al Khor branch, for girls, witnessed a large turnout and praise from parents who emphasised its importance.The programme targeted those in the 8-17 years age group, and thus 35 girls from Al Khor and the northern regions participated.The programme was supervised by Qatari female trainers from various fields, who stressed the importance of attracting Qatari competencies to supervise, train girls and to teach them various manual and life skills. "The courses, workshops, and the centre provide everything that the trainee and trainer require. Al Khozama programme is one of the most beautiful programmes that I was a part of, and I am happy to co-operate with them. There was wonderful co-operation,” said a participant.Trainer, Hessa Lahdan al-Muhannadi thanked Qatar Charity for its efforts in enriching the programme with meaningful activities that serve the individual, society, and the state.The programme provided various training workshops, including those on the principles of personal leadership, handicrafts, exercise, the colours of nature, making perfumes, decorating cakes and preparing coffee.Other activities included a digital safety workshop, the difference between the real and digital world, a workshop on colour co-ordination and painting on acrylic, among others. An activity presented by trainer Hanan al-Tiri aimed at developing creative thinking skills of the participants in a scientific manner and to face life. A seminar was also conducted by Asmaa al-Hammadi.Parents welcomed the valuable initiative and thanked Qatar Charity for it. A parent, Ruqaya al-Fadala, expressed her thanks to Qatar Charity for their kind initiative to launch the summer programme.Umm Ghalia al-Mohannadi, another parent added: "The programme is diverse and integrated, and my daughters are eager to attend every day with excitement.”
