Qatar's pilgrims praised the Qatari Haj Mission's efforts and Haj campaigns' equipment in the holy sites of Mina and Arafah, hailing the co-operation and co-ordination between the mission and all Haj campaigns. On the second day of Haj (the ninth day of the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, called Dhul-Hijjah), pilgrims travel to Mount Arafat to perform the greatest part of the six-day ritual. They spend the day in reverent prayer. After sunset, they move to Muzdalifah where they spend the night before moving again to throw the stones just before sunrise. After staying at Mount Arafat, pilgrims began flocking to Muzdalifah in a third destination of Haj pilgrimage rituals. At Muzdalifah they were to perform Maghrib and Isha prayers, pick up the stones, and stay the night there, prior to heading to Mina in the early morning to start the stoning rituals. The pedestrian road in the Holy Sites that extends from Jabal ar-Rahmah in Mount Arafat to Muzdalifah is one of the longest pedestrian routes in the world with the distance of 25km which annually witnesses the largest human traffic in the world. The Qatari Haj Mission works through an integrated system through all its administrative and technical support units, in co-operation and co-ordination with all campaigns, to provide all means, and to create all conditions that enable them to perform Haj smoothly and safely. The mission continued its efforts in the Sacred Sites since receiving the pilgrims at the airport and taking them to their residences. It will also continue its efforts until the pilgrims' safe return to the homeland after performing the religious duty. The mission's medical unit has clinics for men and women in Mina and Arafah, equipped with the necessary medical equipment to receive all cases, particularly critical or emergent ones. The clinics have the latest emergency equipment, and two ambulances with male and female paramedics. (QNA)
