Qatar participated yesterday in the Paris International Civil Society Conference on Two-State Solution.HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad represented Qatar at the conference (* see lead report on Page 3).The conference comes within the context of growing international efforts to advance a political settlement to the Palestinian cause.It aims to update the "Paris Call", launched in 2025, with the participation of Palestinian, Israeli, regional, and international civil society organisations.The conference focuses on five main themes: strengthening security, ensuring humanitarian access to Gaza, implementing the two-state solution on the ground, supporting the peace process, and deepening regional integration.These themes align with Qatar's unwavering priorities in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and promoting peaceful solutions based on international law.Qatar’s participation is of great importance as it comes in preparation for the G7 meeting in the French Republic, and to activate the outcomes of the international conference to implement the two-state solution, which was sponsored by the United Nations and co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
