Qatar hosts Aerodrome Safety, Planning and Implementation Group meeting

Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), in cooperation with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) hosted the fifth meeting of the Aerodrome Safety, Planning and Implementation Group (ASPIG) of the Middle East Regional Aviation Safety Group (RASG-MID).Fifty-four experts, from several countries as well as international and regional civil aviation organizations, participated in the meeting, which was held in Doha from June 13-15.The meeting's agenda included discussing several-related work papers, focusing on two main axes; the first relates to airport safety management, airport capacity and efficiency, regional airport safety performance, follow-up on approved airport safety conclusions, and airport safety dashboard updates.Meanwhile, the second axis dealt with the regional performance of the capacity and efficiency of air navigation, and follow-up on the approved conclusions related to the capacity and efficiency of the airport.The ASPIG work programme was designed to work according to the data collection, monitoring and analysis mechanism, in order to reach the goals and objectives set out in the Global Aviation Safety Plan and to support the Global Air Navigation Plan.
