The Ministry of Public Health and other healthcare organisations in the country have highlighted the importance of hand hygiene to prevent several infections and save lives.on the occasion of the International Hand Hygiene Day 2023, marked Friday with the slogan ‘Accelerate action together. Save Lives – Clean Your Hands.’ In a series of tweets, MoPH said that washing hands protects people from diseases and alerted people not to forget to wash their hands."Together, we can accelerate action to prevent infections and antimicrobial resistance in health care and build a culture of safety and quality in which Hand Hygiene improvement is given high priority," MoPH said in a tweet.
