White House 'extremely concerned' over violence at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The White House said Wednesday it was "extremely concerned" over the acts of violence carried out by the Israeli occupation forces after they stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulted worshipers, which led to the injury and arrest of dozens of Palestinians during their confrontation of the incursion."We remain extremely concerned by the continuing violence and we urge all sides to avoid further escalation," White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters."It's imperative, now more than ever, that both Israelis and Palestinians work together to de-escalate this tension and to restore a sense of calm."On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces renewed their aggression against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as they stormed the mosque and attacked worshipers with stun grenades, poison gas and rubber bullets.The occupation forces' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque sparked a series of wide Arab and international condemnations, while the UN Security Council will hold an emergency closed session on Thursday at the request of Jordan and Palestine to discuss the Israeli occupation's violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
