UDST joins CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has joined the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme.Both the Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and FinTech and Bachelor of Business Administration in Applied Accounting have been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70% of the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.These programmes position students well to obtain the CFA charter, described as the most respected and recognised investment credential in the world.Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that UDST’s curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations.Through participation in this programme, UDST is eligible to receive a limited number of CFA Programme Student Scholarships each year. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Financial Technology at UDST introduces students to the fundamentals of the Banking and FinTech industries, including the information technology areas critical to both.The Bachelor of Business Administration in Applied Accounting, focuses on developing a strong foundation for students in technical accounting and business competencies, as well as on developing the soft skills necessary to succeed in the field of accounting.Dr Salem Al-Naemi, president of UDST said: "We are pleased with this affiliation that acknowledges UDST’s curriculum as closely tied to the professional practice and well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations.
