Misbah Ul Haq cracked an unbeaten 44 off just 19 balls as Asia Lions beat World Giants by 35 runs in a rain-reduced match at Legends League Cricket yesterday. Tillakaratne Dilshan also made an unbeaten 32 off 24 balls as Asian Lions posted 99 for 3 in 10 overs at Asian Town International Stadium.The match was reduced to 10-over a side after persistent light rain. World Giants could muster only 64 for 5 in 10 overs despite Chris Gayle’s 23 off 16 balls with three sixes. Asian Lions skipper Shahid Afridi, with a double strike in the fifth over by removing Gayle and Lendl Simmons, put his team on the road to victory. Bangladesh’s left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak removed Shane Watson and Ricardo Powell in eighth over as World Giants fell short by 35 runsIt was second win for the Asian Lions after their win over India Maharajas in the tournament opener.
