DFI highlights four Iraqi directors at Doha Film Experience

Doha Film Institute (DFI) is highlighting four Iraqi directors at Doha Film Experience, through the segment, ‘Making the Iraqi New Wave.’ Screening in tandem with the Baghdad: Eye’s Delight exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium, four films will be shown from November 27 to 30.In a press statement, DFI CEO Fatma Hassan Alremaihi said: "The contemporary cinematic history of Iraq is an inspiration for filmmakers everywhere in the world struggling to realise their dreams. Our special tribute to Iraqi cinema presents four films from the past two decades produced under different circumstances but equally challenging in their own ways.All the four films are being screened at the MIA Auditorium. The films are one by Mohamed al-Daradji -November 27, 7.30pm, Memories on Stone (Germany, Iraq/2014) by Shawkat Amin Korki - November 28, 7.30pm, Underexposure (Iraq, Germany/2005) by Oday Rasheed - November 29, 7.30pm and Our River... Our Sky (UK, France, Germany, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Iraq/2021) by Maysoon Pachachi - November 30, 7.30pm.
