The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,250, with 173,751 others injured, since October 7, 2023. Medical sources in Gaza reported that hospitals across the Strip received the bodies of four martyrs and 28 injured over the past 24 hours. The same sources said that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 1,127, with 3,643 injured, while 800 bodies have been recovered.A number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach them. 

Three Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured Thursday morning in Israeli shelling on Gaza City.According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), citing medical sources, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, killing one Palestinian and injuring three others. The same sources said that two other people who were killed.  A number of injured individuals were brought to Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City after Israeli aircraft struck the area within Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of the city.According to the latest reported figures, the death toll from Israel's military campaign in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,246 people killed and 173,727 injured.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced on Monday that Kuwait's air defense systems were engaging hostile aerial targets within Kuwaiti airspace.The blasts heard are the result of mid-air interception operations, said the General Staff in a statement, advising the public to abide by the safety instructions outlined by the relevant authorities.

Saudi Arabia on Sunday expressed its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the continued criminal Iranian attacks on the Gulf states, Jordan and commercial vessels, reiterating its categorical rejection of Iran's violation of the sovereignty of states and its continued threat to the security and stability of the region.In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strongest condemnation and denunciation of Iran's continued conduct that undermines the security and stability of the region, its violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the principles of good neighborliness, through repeated Iranian attacks on commercial vessels that threaten the security and freedom of navigation, as well as the continued criminal Iranian attacks on the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.The ministry also reiterated its categorical rejection of Iran's violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly states and its continued threat to the security and stability of the region.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed the latest regional developments during a telephone call on Saturday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two sides underscored the importance of continuing coordination and consultations to promote security and stability across the region.

Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi has held talks with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on regional and international developments, including maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.Jaishankar, who is on an official visit to Oman, discussed with Albusaidi on Friday the situation affecting shipping and navigation through the strategic waterway, as well as the implications for global trade, energy supplies and international supply chains.The two ministers stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on these developments, and expressed support for efforts to promote dialogue and cooperation with all parties in line with international law and the interests of countries in the region.They also reviewed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Oman and India, with discussions focusing on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, logistics and emerging technologies. 

Bahrain announced Thursday that its air defense systems intercepted several Iranian air attacks.The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said that Iran continues its systematic aggression through its criminal attacks using missiles and drones targeting civilians in Bahrain.It urged everyone to exercise caution and avoid approaching or touching any unfamiliar or suspicious objects resulting from the remnants of the Iranian attack, and to report them immediately.It also affirmed that all its weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and are fully prepared to defend Bahrain. Furthermore, it confirmed its readiness to handle these debris safely, ensuring the safety of all citizens and residents.The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force emphasized that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. 

Iran's Revolutionary Guards fired at least two missiles at commercial ships transiting through the Strait ‌of Hormuz on Monday night, Axios reported, citing ​two U.S. officials.Two commercial ‌ships suffered significant damage but had no casualties, the ‌report said, ⁠citing a ‌U.S. official.U.S. Central Command ‌did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment. The United Kingdom ⁠Maritime Trade Operations agency (UKMTO) said early on Tuesday that a tanker was hit by an unknown projectile on its port side while traveling southbound about 8 nautical miles (15 km) east of Oman's Limah, causing a fire; no casualties or environmental impact had been reported.The development comes after indirect ​U.S.-Iran talks ended last week without any public sign of headway toward a lasting peace, despite a 60-day ceasefire intended to create ‌space for diplomacy following the ⁠U.S. and Israeli ​strikes that triggered the conflict. President Donald Trump said on ​Monday the United States would either reach a deal with Iran or "finish the job," renewing his threat of military action as Tehran projects defiance following the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei."Our missiles and drones are ready to fire at you," Iran's Revolutionary Guard warned ships via maritime radio over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, quoting from a recording ‌it obtained. The vessel was at the mouth of the strait, in the Gulf of Oman, when it was attacked, the WSJ said. Investors have been keeping a close eye on talks between the U.S. and Iran over the fate of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz while tracking the recovery ‌in Gulf ​oil exports.

Talks to reach a ‌final deal between ​Tehran ‌and Washington won't ‌start ⁠if ‌U.S. ‌threats continue, Iran's ⁠foreign minister said on Tuesday, following U.S.President Donald Trump's threat to "finish the ​job" if a deal is not ‌made."Negotiations on final ⁠deal ​will not ​commence if threats continue. Honor your signature," Abbas Araqchi wrote in a post on X.Araqchi's post ‌was referring ‌to ⁠an interim ⁠deal signed ⁠last month by Iran and the U.S. that calls upon ​both sides to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other.

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Saturday that it would respond firmly and with "unprecedented force” to any attempt to target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its citizens, national assets, or Yemen's sovereignty.In a statement, the coalition's command said recent remarks by the Houthi group against Saudi Arabia were an attempt to divert attention away from their grave violations against the Yemeni people.The statement added that the remarks also reflected an attempt by the Houthis to export the economic hardships and humanitarian suffering they have inflicted on the Yemeni people to the wider region and neighboring countries, while covering up the tribal and societal rejection they face.Brig. Gen. Turki Al Maliki, the coalition's official spokesperson, said the remarks were a continuation of the Houthis' escalation and hostile conduct, as well as their attempts to undermine regional and international security.Al Maliki stressed that the coalition would respond and strike with firmness and unprecedented force to counter any attempts to target Saudi Arabia, its citizens, or its national assets, or to violate the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen, in accordance with international humanitarian law and and customary international humanitarian law. 

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the funeral of the late Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei this week, the South Asian nation's foreign ministry said on Thursday."The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, will go to Iran and Turkey from 3-5 July... he will go to Iran first for (the) supreme leader's funeral," ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi told reporters.Pakistan has been mediating between the United States and Iran to end the regional war which began in February with US-Israeli strikes that killed the 86-year-old Iranian supreme leader in Tehran.Andrabi reiterated earlier statements from Pakistan and fellow mediator Qatar that US-Iranian indirect talks in Doha this week had made progress and another meeting could take place after Khamenei's funeral.The public funeral will begin on Saturday, with his body lying in state at the colossal complex in central Tehran that hosts major Friday prayers, official ceremonies and religious gatherings.Pakistan shares deep historic ties with Iran. The two share a 900-kilometre (560-mile) border and cultural links, with Sunni-majority Pakistan home to the world's second-largest Shia population after Iran.Sharif's trip to Turkey would involve meetings with Turkish leadership and businesspeople, Andrabi said.

Palestine's envoy to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, called on the international community to strengthen political and financial support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and step up efforts to achieve a just, lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.Addressing the UN General Assembly's annual pledging conference for UNRWA in New York, Mansour renewed his call for a just and lasting solution to the Palestine refugee issue based on UN General Assembly Resolution 194, urging the international community to muster the political will and courage needed to end what he described as a longstanding historical injustice.He said the suffering of Palestinian refugees had reached unprecedented levels in recent years, particularly in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, amid what he described as genocide and Israel's ongoing military offensive.Mansour said UNRWA continues to play a vital role in alleviating the suffering of Palestine refugees and providing essential services despite what he described as systematic Israeli targeting of the agency, its personnel and facilities, as well as an unprecedented financial crisis threatening its operations.UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Palestinian refugees are facing dire humanitarian conditions, particularly in the Gaza Strip, underscoring UNRWA's indispensable role in meeting the needs of millions of Palestine refugees across its five fields of operation and supporting regional stability.He warned that the agency's financial crisis, coupled with restrictions on its operations, threatens its ability to fulfill the mandate overwhelmingly renewed by the General Assembly six months ago.Guterres said no other organization has the capacity to replace UNRWA or carry out its mandate.The UN chief called for urgent political and financial support to ensure the agency can continue its operations and enable the international community to meet its responsibilities toward Palestine refugees, saying such support would help create the conditions for a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution.
