The training programme for the first batch of 30 aspirants who wish to join the media team of Qatar TV was launched on Sunday, as part of the 'Media Renewed' initiative launched by the Qatar Media Corporation, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
The 7-week programme is aimed at preparing national cadres for media work with high professionalism and efficiency. Successful candidates are expected to start working for Qatar TV by October, said Dr Abdullah Faraj al-Marzouqi, general supervisor of the training programme.
Abdulaziz Ibrahim al-Obaidly, head of Broadcasters Department at Qatar TV, explained that the training will cover the entire gamut of working for television, including theoretical and practical sessions.
