HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser al-Thani along with a number of the ministry officials on Thursday visited various recycling factories across the country.







A statement from the ministry said the aim was to review their workflow, the most important challenges and learning about the efforts made by the private sector in supporting industries based on recycling tyres, wood, paper, oils, glass, plastics, and others.
During the visit, HE the minister noted that these important initiatives are supporting the Qatari environment and the national economy at an advanced level. The minister stressed Qatar’s support for all efforts aimed at developing and expanding areas of recycling and the use of modern and environment-friendly technology that reduce waste dumping and thereby alleviate pressure on the environment.
The national environment strategy is based on the importance of recycling 85% of waste and implemented with the aim of achieving sustainability and preserving the country's natural resources.
