The Board of Governors of Milestone International Education Institute of Higher Education (Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Doha Campus) met recently to make strategic decisions and approve the business plan for the new academic year starting in August 2022, a statement said.
The meeting at MIE-SPPU’s campus in Ayn Khalid The Commercial Avenue was presided by Ali bin Abdulatif al-Mesnad, chairman of MIE-SPPU. The members of the Board of Governors who attended the meeting were Mohamed bin Hammam (chief patron), Aisha bint Mohamed bin Hammam (patron), Hasan Chougule (president), Yasir Nainar (vice-president), George Thomas (director), Haider Khaqan (director) and Dinesh Bakshi (head of operations).
The Board members were pleased to note the high demand for admissions for the new academic year at the MIE-SPPU and also discussed the activities, staffing, industry relationships, and training programmes. The Board also approved the budget for the new academic year and endorsed continuing a low fee structure.
MIE-SPPU is the first international campus of Pune University in Doha, Qatar. The university offers full-time four-year undergraduate courses through its state-of-the-art campus at The Commercial Avenue. The courses offered are BA, BSc, BCom, and BBA.
