The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), represented by the Private Education Affairs Sector, discussed in a meeting with the owners and officials of educational and training centres in the country the services provided by these academies, their importance, quality, and the extent of demand for them, especially as it returns to work at full capacity after easing the procedures and removing the restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The follow-up process of these centres has also been reviewed, their performance assessed, their compliance with the law and the licenses granted to them, and the granting and renewal of the necessary licenses to carry out their functions easily. In addition to the challenges it faces in performing its tasks and mission and the difficulties that can hinder the satisfactory delivery of its services, ideas and proposals that would overcome these obstacles were exchanged and provided the necessary solutions to them.
Assistant Undersecretary for Special Education Affairs at the Ministry Omar Abdulaziz al-Nama praised the co-operation between educational and training centres and the private education sector, praising their academic and training role and enhancing the skills of those enrolled, and stressed that this role complements the role of educational institutions such as schools and universities in the State.
Al-Nama called on the owners and officials of these centres to continue to work to develop the level of services provided, meet the requirements of the public and keep pace with their changing and diverse needs. He said that the ministry is keen to support the investor in the private education sector by providing various types of support, guidance and communication, whether investing in private schools and kindergartens or in educational and training centers.
The number of educational and training centers in the country so far amounts to 169 centres, which provide services in the field of administrative training, foreign language education, strengthening lessons, educational training, computer education, and what is concerned with people with special needs and the arts.
