* PHCC launches second phase of plan to resume normal services at health centres

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced the implementation of the second phase of a plan to resume the regular provision of services at its health centres, Qatar News Agency reports.
This comes within the framework of a three-stage implementation plan running until April.
The second phase of the plan begins on Tuesday, when all health centres of the PHCC will provide face-to-face consultations at 75% of the capacity covering all services, such as the Family Medicine Model, general and specialised dental services, and all other specialised services.
The corporation will also continue to provide virtual consultations, based on the patient's preference, while the Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre will continue to operate as a health centre dedicated to Covid-19.
Drive-through swabbing services will continue to be provided at PHCC health centres from 4pm to 11pm seven days a week, while the Lusail drive-through testing and vaccination centre was closed yesterday.
The PHCC is taking strict preventive measures to control the spread of Covid-19 virus and ensure safety. These measures include the smart scheduling of appointments, use of personal protective equipment, social distancing, and regular virus checks for all workers and employees, as well as maintaining strict hygiene and disinfection protocols.
The PHCC stressed its commitment to providing high-quality, integrated health services characterised by easy access to ensure the health and safety of the society, while adhering to all precautionary and preventive measures, and in order to support national efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and protect the population.
The first phase was implemented from February and witnessed great success, according to the PHCC, with affiliated health centres providing face-to-face consultations at 50% of the capacity across all services.
