Souq Waqif administration announced the launch of the Agricultural Products and Local Honey Exhibition in Al Ahmad Square in Souq Waqif, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality, from Feb. 20 to March 1.

The exhibition comes within the framework of supporting Qatari products through a marketing platform that acquaints the public with the high-quality food products characterized by Qatari farms, as well as local honey-producing companies, and provides an opportunity for merchants, entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises to display their honey products to the public.

About 70 pavilions, representing many farms and apiaries, displaying national agricultural crops of vegetables, fresh fruits and honey will also participate in the exhibition.

On this occasion, Director of Souq Waqif Mohammed Abdullah Al Salem stressed that the exhibition provides an ideal marketing experience in an attractive tourist place for visitors, as Souq Waqif is a tourist destination for the State of Qatar due to its historical, heritage, artistic and cultural importance, in addition to being an attractive area with the services it provides.

He pointed out that the Souq Waqif administration provides continuous support to local farmers through festivals and exhibitions to market their products in the market squares.

Al Salem added that the exhibition of agricultural products and local honey aims to market Qatari agricultural products, support local farms and work to attract the public to benefit from the exhibits of vegetables, fruits and honey at prices under the supervision of the Ministry of Municipality.

Souq Waqif administration is keen to adhere to the precautionary measures followed in the country to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 by social distancing and the need for Ehteraz app when entering the exhibition.
