*High tide warning
*Thundery rain, strong wind, high sea forecast

Many areas across Qatar received showers Saturday, while thundery rain, strong wind and high sea are forecast Sunday by the Met office. The wind will be southeasterly-southwesterly, ranging from 12 to 22kt and gusting up to 35kt at times. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 25C and 17C, both at Abu Samra.
Saturday, heavy rain clouds were seen across the country and thunderstorms recorded in many regions late in the evening, accompanied by strong winds and low visibility.
The Met office alerted owners of coastal camps in the southeast part of the country, to take the necessary precautions against the high tide expected Sunday so as to protect their belongings. As part of lightning safety tips, people have been urged to stay away from open areas during thunderstorms and seek shelter immediately.
"Stay away from highland areas, roofs, trees and electricity poles. It is considered safe to stay inside your car as long as you keep the windows closed," the advisory said.
