Al Baida Group has signed an exclusive business agreement with Saudi Arabian industrial firm, Alkhorayef Group, to further their co-operation in the field of investment, as well as in agricultural and industrial development.
Engineer Ali Abdullatif al-Misnad, chairman of Al Baida Group, signed the agreement with Sheikh Mohamed Abdulla Alkhorayef, chairman of Alkhorayef Group.
The agreement aims at strengthening co-operation between both sides in the fields of industrial and agricultural equipment and in irrigation systems, which include Western irrigation systems.
It also aims to enhance co-operation between both firms in providing pumping solutions, such as the deep well pumps, horizontal pumps, rivers and aqueduct pump solutions, in addition to providing the iron tubes (polyethylene), generators, diesel engines, and electrical control panels.
On this occasion, al-Misnad said that due to the clear commercial rapprochement between Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially following the visit of Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman to Qatar and the meeting with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Al Baida Group has signed the agreement to bolster co-operation with one of Saudi’s most prominent companies specialising in industrial and agricultural equipment.
For his part, Mohamed Elwan, Al Baida Group CEO, stressed the importance of the agreement during the current period due to the increasing demand for the products and equipment produced by the Alkhorayef Group in the Qatari market. The group is one of the top four global companies in irrigation systems, pumps, and electrical generators.
He also said Al Baida Group has considerable experience in this strategic and vital sector, indicating that it offers a lot of products for the Qatari market and contributes significantly to the State’s food security.
Established in 1970, Al Baida Group operates in various sectors, such as contracting, infrastructure, agriculture, and services. Alkhorayef Group was founded in 1957, the company diversified its activities and continued its progress in various fields, such as machinery systems, oil, and contracting, as well as in printing and paper.
