The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Special Education and Gifted Students Department, held a ceremony honoring the students who won the "My disability is the secret of my talent" competition in its third edition, which was held this year under the slogan "My health and safety."

The competition is considered a platform to highlight the talents and abilities of students with disabilities and their skills, which develops their self confidence and to display their literary and artistic products in which they excel.

The competition was held in four areas, namely memorizing the Holy Quran, writing short stories, public speaking, and artistic creativity.

Director of Special Education and Gifted Care Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Hanadi Mansour said: "Today, we present our special ceremony for gifted students with disabilities who won the "My disability is the secret of my talent" competition, with our highest congratulations and blessings to all of our students who have worked hard, innovated and won, We congratulate their parents and thank them for their great role, which had the greatest impact in supporting and nurturing these talents, and for their teachers and leaders of their schools and for everyone who contributed to refining and nurturing their talent and did their job to the fullest in order to help them reach this great achievement."

It is noteworthy that the "My Disability is the Secret of My Talent" competition highlighted all students with disabilities (whether they are motor, hearing, intellectual, visual, or autistic) who have a talent in any of the four areas of the competition at all educational levels in schools. and educational and rehabilitation centers for students with disabilities.

The conditions of application were also applied to the students participating in the four areas of the competition which was supervised by members of a jury comprising professors from Qatar University, Qatar Fine Arts Society, the Special Education and Gifted Students Department of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Educational Guidance in each area of the competition.
