MES Indian School, Abu Hamour branch, organised its first virtual arts festival “MESIS 2021” recently with the theme ‘Every child is a genius in his own spirit’.
The school parliament’s art secretary Lakshmi Priya welcomed the attendees. Principal Dr Mohamed Haneef presided over the event. He stressed that co-curricular activities are an integral part of academics and every child has the potential to be a genius if the proper platform is given to showcase their hidden talent.
MESIS cultural activities director, M C Mohamed, the chief guest, observed that arts festival will enhance talent, encourage creativity, team spirit and nurture students to be better individuals.
There were competitions in solo dance, light music, mimicry, instrumental music, fancy dress and mono act , in super junior, sub-junior, junior and senior categories.
Literary events consisted of pencil drawing, hand writing competition, essay writing, drawing competition, poster and collage making.
