Qatar University (QU) and the Ministry of Interior signed a cooperation agreement that includes organising the electronic connectivity process between them and exchanging data in order to achieve its accuracy and raise the level of services provided to the public by facilitating and accelerating procedures.
The agreement was signed by Vice President for Student Affairs at Qatar University Dr Eiman Mustafawi and HE Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior Major General Saleh Khamis Ghanim al-Kubaisi.
The agreement aims to organise the work between the Ministry of Interior and QU in electronic connectivity and information exchange, as the Ministry of Interior provides Qatar University with personal data of individuals and applicants.
According to the agreement, the two parties are obligated to observe the operational rules and controls when operating the electronic inquiry service and when operating the electronic data update service.
Dr Mustafawi hailed the signing of this agreement, stressing that it falls within the framework of partnership and co-operation between Qatar University and the Ministry of Interior, in an effort to facilitate the university's work in obtaining information related to its work electronically without the need to perform paper procedures, thus it contributes to the smart management practices adopted by Qatar University.
The Project Manager Kholoud al-Otaibi commented on the advantages of electronic connectivity and its positive impact on achieving efficiency and increasing productivity at the lowest cost and providing services to the university community and to the public without moving between entities, as well as reducing time and effort, as it is possible to verify the data of individuals through the system directly, adding that this integration will provide accuracy and quality, so that data is exchanged in a secure and efficient way.
