* Approves draft agreement between Qatar and Jordan on mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports
 
 
 
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday. Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaei issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings.
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments regarding the efforts made to contain the spread of Covid-19. The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the relevant procedures and the precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat the pandemic.
The Cabinet then approved a draft agreement on the mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports, between the governments of Qatar and Jordan.
It also gave its nod to a draft twin city agreement between Doha Municipality in Qatar and Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan.
Further, the Cabinet approved a voluntary contribution to support the 2021 International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) of Unesco. The meeting reviewed the results of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia and took the appropriate decision.
