The North Indian Association (NIA) celebrated India's Independence Day online with 'Satrangi Bharat- Ek Surmayi Shaam: A Musical Tribute to the Cultural Heritage of India' as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: India@75' programme.
There were more than 100 participants. Indian ambassador to Qatar, Dr Deepak Mittal, was the chief guest. Rendering of popular songs with orchestra was executed by NIA members and guest artistes.
Several people from across the world joined the celebrations.
NIA president Rajneesh Shastri, general secretary Sandeep Kumar Arya and advisory committee chairman Durgesh Gupta spoke on the occasion. Cultural secretary Manoj Jain and joint cultural secretary Moksha Gupta were the hosts. Vice president Priya Bhedi and founder chairman Harish Kanjani appreciated the efforts of the NIA team.
