HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met Monday with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of investment, and the exchange of support in international forums, in addition to the latest developments in the region, particularly the developments of the Palestinian cause and the current situation in Libya.
The two sides stressed the importance of coordinating the regional efforts to reach solutions that guarantee the security and stability of the region and encourage joint cooperation.
During the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs noted the positive developments in the relations between the two countries, stressing that these developments enhance the security and stability of the region.
HE the Foreign Minister renewed Qatar's thanks to Egypt for its efforts that contributed to the recent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stressed the leading role of the Egyptian community in the public and private sectors.
For his part, Shoukry expressed Egypt's thanks to Qatar for holding the emergency consultative meeting on the Renaissance Dam in Doha.
The Egyptian foreign minister commended the efforts of Qatar through its chairmanship of the Ministerial Committee of the Arab League, wishing success to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in this regard and expressed his thanks to Qatar for its care of the Egyptian community.
