The Airfreight and Private Airports Customs at the General Authority of Customs (GAC) has foiled yet another attempt to smuggle banned tobacco products into Qatar. In a tweet on Thursday, the GAC said 5 tonnes of tobacco were seized at Hamad International Airport, adding that the banned substance was found hidden inside cornflakes packs. The authority is equipped with the latest devices to detect illegal transportation and smuggling.
