The Shura Council participated in the Inter-Parliamentary Union 31st Forum of Women Parliamentarians, which took place via videoconference.
The three-day event will cover a number of issues, the most important of which is the impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on gender equality, contributing to the work of the 142nd General Assembly of the IPU from a gender perspective, as well as the elections of the office of women parliamentarians in the current session.
The Shura Council was represented in the meeting by HE Member of the Council Reem bint Mohamed al-Mansouri, who is also a member of the office of the IPU's Women Parliamentarians.
