MES Indian School observed International Labour Day with fervour.
Special virtual assemblies were conducted in honour of the working class and to express gratitude for their commitment.
Various activities including speeches, skits, poem writing, collage-making and slogan writing competitions were organised to mark the occasion.
The students were attired in different costumes to represent the labour community of the world.
During the virtual interactive sessions, teachers highlighted the importance of the labour community in society and the dignity of each profession, which enabled students to realise the need to respect, appreciate and honour the community.
The employees including the supporting staff were honoured with special gifts and certificates of appreciation as a token of admiration for their hard work throughout the year.
Principal Hameeda Kadar in her felicitation remarks stated that future leaders need to be made aware of the importance of the working class.
