The department of arts at Birla Public School (BPS) recently conducted art workshops for students as a part of co-scholastic activities.
The art workshops were held for Grade-III to V and Grade-VI to XII students separately to develop their creativity as well as their aesthetic sense.
The workshops were held online via Zoom.
The art workshop for the academic year 2021-22 started with good wishes and words of encouragement from Rajesh Pillai, vice principal (co-scholastic). The workshop was very exciting for the students as they practiced speed sketching.
During the workshop, the children got an opportunity to see the use of different mediums such as pencils, pens, and soft pastels in rapid sketching.
The second art workshop was conducted by Ravikumar Chatti, art teacher, for students of Grade-III to V. All the participants painted their canvases with the guidance of the teacher.
The session was informative and provided an experience for the children to practice fast sketches and canvas painting.
