Commercial Bank “continues to enhance” its payment receipt options available on the CB Pay for Merchant application by adding a new feature, CB PayLink, which helps customer in placing payment orders through credit or debit cards.
CB PayLink allows merchants to issue and receive payment orders by securely sending a link for payment via SMS to all their customers regardless of where they bank, Qatar’s leading digital bank said Saturday.
When the customer clicks on the link, it will redirect them to the payment page to complete the transaction using the credit or debit card.
Commercial Bank customers also enjoy the ability to pay directly through CBQ Mobile App upon clicking on the payment link.
The new service will be available for merchants of all types and sizes including licensed home businesses, delivery businesses, small and big stores, grocery stores, travel agencies, and more. The CB PayLink payment solution uses a secure payment gateway like Cybersource and QCB’s Qpay network to ensure secure and authentic transactions.
Merchants will also get a notification when the payment is completed. The service also allows merchants to track their transactions and status of payments.
Roya Khajeh, assistant general manager and head (Cards and Payments) at Commercial Bank, said: “We are delighted to offer our merchant partners a modern payment experience that is convenient, quick, and secure. The newly added option ‘CB PayLink’ is inspired by the need of many businesses for a payment solution that allows customers to pay remotely. “Commercial Bank is translating this need into a digital product accessible to every merchant and their customers. Moreover, ‘CB PayLink’ aims to promote cashless payments, hence supporting Qatar in its transition to a cashless society.”
CB Pay for Merchants is the first dedicated mobile application in Qatar that brings merchants closer to their customers and makes payment settlement an easy, worry-free process.
CB Pay for Merchants allows small and medium merchants and business owners to initiate and settle payments through a mobile phone, supporting both remote and proximity payments, leveraging static and dynamic QR code technology.
