The Ministry of Interior reviewed on Wednesday the results of the midterm report of its Second National Development Strategy 2018-2022. HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Commander of the Lekhwiya Force, Major General Abdulaziz bin Faisal al-Thani, and a number of general directors, directors of departments and heads of the relevant committees attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Director of Planning and Quality Department at the ministry, Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid al-Sulaiti and Assistant Director of the Department Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdulaziz al-Mohannadi, reviewed the strategic objectives of the ministry, and the progress made, whether in implementing the strategic goals or in achieving global indicators.

The progress made in the institutional performance standards, the programmes, projects and the operational plans implemented, the strategic performance indicators, the general results and the achieved effects were reviewed as well.

Brigadier al-Sulaiti explained that the importance of the report lies in its role in correcting and straightening the course of achieving the strategic goals and evaluating the realism of the measurement indicators in the first half to complete the follow-up of the second half of the strategy based on sound foundations and indicators, and submitting the final report at the end of 2022.

The participants also discussed means of maintaining the progress made in implementing the strategy, and the related plans and programmes aimed at achieving the objectives of the Ministry of Interior in order to meet the requirements of security work.

HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior directed to exert more efforts in achieving the aspirations of the strategy, praising all the efforts made by all departments and committees of the ministry.
