* 'Failure to attend scheduled appointment adversely affects service'

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has reiterated that Covid-19 vaccination is available at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) by appointment only.
It also stressed that failure to attend one's scheduled appointment adversely affected the service.
The first phase of Covid-19 vaccination at the QNCC facility began on February 18.
"Covid-19 vaccines are available at QNCC by appointment only and we regret that we are unable to vaccinate walk-in attendees without an appointment SMS invite," the PHCC said in an advisory on social media Sunday.
"Please ensure you arrive at your designated appointment slot time to avoid overcrowding and long waiting times," it said.
All attendees are requested to share the PHCC invitation SMS upon arrival. "Please ensure that your invite SMS specifies PHCC as a sender," the advisory continued. "Failure to attend your scheduled appointment adversely affects the service."
The PHCC reminded the public that the Covid-19 vaccine will be available to all residents of Qatar based on the national phased approach.
"When you attend your appointment, please ensure you provide your valid QID and health card, invite SMS as well as your Ehteraz (with 'Green' status)," the advisory said, urging people to follow precautionary measures, wear a mask at all times and maintain safe social distance.
"After the first dose, you will receive an SMS for an appointment for the second dose," it added.
Qatar News Agency last week said in a report that work was continuing at a good pace at the QNCC facility as part of the expansion of Qatar’s national programme for Covid-19 vaccination.
The QNCC vaccination centre comes under the supervision and management of the PHCC, in co-operation with the Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation, volunteers from Qatar Red Crescent Society and the administration of Qatar National Convention Centre.
