Qatar Museums (QM), Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman have signed a five-year automatically renewable memorandum of understanding (MoU), outlining collaboration in the field of cultural and museum work.
Under the MoU, the three institutions will organise collaborative activities and exhibitions, and periodically exchange collections and exhibits, QM has said in a statement.
The three institutions will also provide training, qualifications and loan programmes for their employees as part of their co-operation in the field of museum management and collections management. The agreement was signed by Ahmad Musa al-Namla, the chief executive officer of Qatar Museums, and Najib bin Yahya al-Balushi, Oman’s ambassador to Qatar, the statement added.
