The stage is set for His Highness The Amir Sword Equestrian Festival, with the Future Riders’ action to kick off the events from Thursday at Qatar Equestrian Federation’s (QEF) outdoor arena.
The opening day of the three-day Festival (Feb 18-20) will have the mandatory veterinary checks and familiarization session from 3pm onwards on Thursday. The Dressage, and Small, Medium and the feature Big Tours showjumping competition where over 100 riders be in action will be held on Friday and Saturday.
The total prize money on offer is QR500,000. The winner of the Amir Sword will also be awarded a brand new car. The top three riders in the Amir Sword competition will be honoured at the Qatar and Equestrian Racing Club.
The three-day event will be held in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). Strict Covid-19 prevention protocols will be followed with only 10 percent of fan attendance being allowed at the venue

Dressage: Level 1, Medium: 9am
Dressage: Level 2, Premium: 10.15am
Big Tour: Table A, Two rounds (135/145cm): 2pm
Small Tour: Table A, Two rounds (100/120cm): 4pm
Medium Tour: Table A, Two Rounds (120/135cm): 7pm.
