The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that it will organise 'Education Forum 2021' in April under the theme of 'Visions and Aspirations...Beyond Challenges'. The event, which will be held virtually, seeks to bring together educational experts and professionals to discuss and share views on the issues of education and explore the future of education in the post-Covid-19 period, the MoEHE said in a statement on its website.
The forum will shed light on Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all, as set out in the United Nations Sustainable Development Plan 2030.
This contributes to the Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to transform Qatar into an advanced country capable of sustaining its own development and ensuring high living standards for its people for generations to come, the statement notes.
Through various seminars and workshops, the forum will address a range of issues and practices presented by university professors and professionals from different participating entities, with a special focus on the role of technology and developments in post-Covid-19 education.
The following themes will be featured in the event:
* Integrating education, sustainable development into school curricula.
* Aligning education outputs with the labour market and sustainable development needs.
* Introducing new visions for early childhood education.
* Exploring the role of educational supervision and educational leadership in promoting teachers’ sustainable professional development.
* Fostering community partnerships to realise sustainable development.
