The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported on Monday 385 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) during the last 24 hours, of which 363 were from community and 22 from travellers returning from abroad who are subject to quarantine.
The ministry also reported the death of a 66-year-old patient who was receiving the necessary medical care.
It recorded 147 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 145,953.
All new cases have been introduced to isolation and are receiving necessary healthcare.
Measures to tackle Covid-19 in Qatar have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus and the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions is continuing to decline each week.

Last month, there was a gradual and continuous increase in the number of new daily infections.
Of concern is the recent increase in the number of people hospitalised, as well as the number of people admitted to intensive care units as a result of contracting Covid-19.
These increases appear to be early indications of a possible second wave of the virus spreading in Qatar.
For this reason, it is more important than ever that all members of society adhere to precautionary measures and preventive measures to prevent a second wave before it gains momentum.
If the number of positive cases and hospitalisations continues to increase during the next week or two, additional restrictions may be imposed throughout the country and some stages of the restrictions that were previously imposed will be returned.
With the recent increase in the number of infections in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
*Adherence to physical distancing.
*Avoid close contact with others, crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
*Wearing a face mask.
*Washing hands regularly.
*Most importantly, it is vital that we continue to protect the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions.
*When spending time at home with elderly family members or those with chronic diseases, ensure you wash your hands regularly, wear a mask and maintain social and physical distancing.
Anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms should either contact 16000 helpline or go directly to one of the designated health centres to undergo the necessary checks at Muaither, Rawdat Al Khail, Umm Salal, or Al Gharafa. This is important as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
