The Police College's headquarters will soon be shifted to a new building that is under construction. Police college Director General Brigadier Dr. Mohamed Abdullah al-Muhanna al-Marri told Qatar Radio that the shifting is expected to happen by April or June this year.
The college is striving to improve its academic standards in order to help the graduates move up to higher studies in law or police science. The college will also offer programmes for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) officers.
The official said there is a proposal to transform the college into an academy that will include various colleges and institutes in addition to the Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College, the Police Training Institute, the Women's Police Institute and various training institutes under the MoI.
The works of the new headquarters of the college are under the supervision of the MoI's Building Affairs Department.
