Qatar participated in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture, which was held via video conference technology, under the title 'How to Feed the World in Times of Pandemics and Climate Change'.

Qatar was represented in the forum by HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie.

The forum is organised by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Germany, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Director-General of the World Food Organisation (FAO), the European Commission for Agriculture and agriculture ministers from 80 countries.

The forum discussed the role of trade in securing various products to ensure food security and nutrition in times of crisis, and the extent of the countries' commitment to providing food in light of the persistence of various crises and epidemics at the regional and international levels.

It will also promote and develop innovations and agricultural digital technology in order to achieve the sustainable development goals.
