His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Tuesday thanked the "Brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the generous welcome and the brotherly State of Kuwait for its valued efforts."
In a tweet he said: "Sensing the historical responsibility at this defining moment in the march of the Gulf Co-operation Council and in fulfilment of the hopes of our people, I participated alongside our brothers in the Al-Ula Summit to heal the rift, and we all hope for a better future for the region."
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani tweeted that "Under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and with his wisdom, Qatar is looking forward to continue the joint GCC and Arab work for best of the GCC peoples and the security and stability of the region, hoping that this agreement will achieve more progress, welfare and prosperity.
In another tweet, HE Sheikh Mohamed observed that "Today the page of disagreement is turned with a spirit of responsibility and seeking to open a new page that establishes the meanings of solidarity and co-operation for the good of the GCC peoples and face the challenges encountering the region. All thanks to brotherly Kuwait for the great efforts in fixing the rift and uniting the GCC family."
