His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani left Al-Ula Governorate in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening after chairing Qatar's delegation to the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Co-operation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), which concluded earlier in the day.

The Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Airport by Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Minister of State and Cabinet member Dr Musaed bin Mohamed al-Aiban.

The Amir sent cables to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, expressing sincerest thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during his participation in the GCC Summit.

His Highness the Amir praised the fraternal atmosphere that prevailed in the meeting and the efforts exerted to make it a success, and affirmed that its positive outcome will strengthen the march of the Gulf Co-operation Council, bring prosperity to the Gulf peoples, and consolidate solidarity in facing the challenges in the region, praying to the Almighty Allah to bless the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince with the best of health and to fulfil the aspirations of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for progress and prosperity under their wise leadership.
