The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued a set of guidelines to be followed by all public, private schools and preschools to ensure the safety of the students.

Qatar has permitted 50% of attendance for all the schools starting from this academic session.

Accordingly, all schools should monitor attendance or absence policy regularly and a safe distance of 1.5m between students must be maintained inside classrooms.

Schools should organise the entry and exit of students to the school building to maintain physical distancing and avoid overcrowding. Schools must divide students into groups of up to 15 in each classroom. Students of specific stages should wear face masks regularly.

Students with chronic diseases, as supported by approved medical reports, are exempted from in-person attendance. They can attend their lessons remotely. Schools must strictly observe the precautionary measures and fully cooperate with the concerned authorities if any Covid-19 cases are suspected or confirmed.
