Chinese, Japanese embassies join MME tree planting drive
A number of saplings suitable for the local environment were planted at the events.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)'s Public Gardens Department hosted tree planting events in co-operation with the Chinese and Japanese embassies as part of the one-million trees planting initiative.
In the event with the Chinese embassy, ambassador Zhou Jian, Public Gardens Department
 
director Mohamed Ali al-Khori and a number of MME officials were present.
In the event with the Japanese embassy, ambassador Kazuo Sunaga, Public Gardens Department assistant director Mohamed Ibrahim al-Sada and a number of MME officials attended.
A number of saplings suitable for the local environment were planted at the events.
