HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi affirmed that the celebration of the National Day is a dear occasion to our hearts and comes this year amidst rapid developments and successive successes that enhance Qatar's achievements in various fields in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and consolidate the building of a state of law and institutions thanks to the wise leadership and sound visions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the minister said that this year's slogan: "We praise you, the Lord of the Throne" embodies the meanings, values and virtuous morals that are inspired by the poems of the Founder of Qatar.
He added that Qatar's wise leadership was inspired the lofty principles and noble values established by the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani, stressing that this strengthened Qatar's position in its regional and global surroundings.
Our wise leadership has consolidated a historical legacy that enshrines the principle of the rule of law at the national and international levels, achieves equality and justice for all citizens and residents, and entrenches the principles of good governance included in the country's Permanent Constitution, the minister said. He pointed out that holding the Shura Council's elections for the first time in the state's history in October of next year is an important step that will consolidate active popular participation in the management of the country's affairs by people's representatives, strengthen constitutional life and develop the legislative process with wider participation by citizens in light of our wise leadership's long-term vision for the country's future.
The minister also referred Qatar's success in handling Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to God as well as the efforts of workers in the health sector and all concerned entities in the country, noting the spirit of solidarity that prevailed in the Qatari society in the face of the pandemic.
Moreover, HE Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi said that the Ministry of Justice has prepared a strategic plan for the period 2020-2022, including 35 projects in various fields related to supervising the practice of legal professions, ensuring the provision of accurate and high-quality online services to all citizens and residents, providing legal training for the target groups in the state's administrative apparatus, and co-ordinating with governmental authorities in lawsuits brought by them and against them under the directives of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani.
He indicated that the Ministry of Justice has made tangible achievements in the field of modernisation and development of legal professions, as executive decisions have been issued for the laws in force in the fields of real estate brokerage and the work of expertise, and Qatari cadre has been qualified to move the legal work to wider horizons, contribute to the development and strengthening of Justice systems, provide assistance to the judiciary, and contribute to achieving full justice.
The minister noted that about 139 experts in various fields have been registered, and emphasis was placed on the subtle and rare specialties that have emerged with the expansion and development of society, adding that these young and qualified cadres practice their duties today with professionalism and responsibility before the courts.
In addition, more than 200 real estate brokers have been registered, he said, pointing out that based on the procedures currently being implemented, the ministry is looking forward to seeing Qatari real estate brokerage companies according to the best successful regional and global standards in order to contribute in the national development march and play their economic role in achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The minister also referred to the ministry's launch of e-Case Management System, which aims at improving the services of managing state cases for the benefit of various government entities, and to facilitate their follow-up procedures for the lawsuits brought by them and against them in a way that reduces time and effort, and provides new possibilities for strengthening justice systems.
The launch of this system came in line with the latest international standards and successful judicial experiences for preserving, circulating and archiving documents and data, and within the provision of the technical system capable of linking electronically with various government entities directly related to the State Cases Department, he added.
HE Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi indicated that a plan for digital transformation will be implemented according to which all the ministry's services will be converted into 100% electronic services, except for transactions related to their legal nature that require the presence of the concerned person to ensure his rights and properties in accordance with the followed legal procedures.
On the occasion of the National Day, the minister congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and the people and residents of Qatar.
