Area 23, under Division F in District 116, recently conducted an online open house with around 80 toastmasters and 20 plus non-toastmasters from Qatar and other places.
The event was presided over by Sabari Prasad, Area 23 director, and was attended by Thayalan K, District 116 director; Manzoor Moideen, Rajesh VC, and various other toastmasters and leaders from Qatar.
Katie was the master of ceremonies. The open house was started by Sabari Prasad. The launch of new advanced toastmasters club – Midas Touch Advanced Club – was done by Rajesh VC. The sponsoring clubs are EF Toastmasters and Malaysian Toastmasters. Haseeb CM was announced as the charter president of the new advanced club. A keynote speech on ‘The Why Toastmasters’ was delivered by Robin Anand, immediate past District 105 director, followed by the session of questions and answers moderated by Simon Kurian.
After the Keynote speech a demo toastmasters meeting for non-toastmasters lead by Sruthy Mammen and a panel discussion on the advanced club moderated by Safeer Azeez were conducted. Panelists were Sundaresan Rajeswar, past District director; Sabeena MK, Division E director; Varghese Varghese and Shehariyas Kandy.
