The Amiri Guard School celebrated on Wednesday the graduation of six foundational and advanced courses.
The six courses are security and protecting personalities, security and advanced protection, rapid intervention, counter-terrorism, explosives, and driving a tank.
These courses came at the conclusion of the 2020 training season, in the attendance of Commander of the Amiri Guard Major General Hazza bin Khalil al-Shahwani.
The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard, the Inspector General, the assistants of the Commander of the Amiri Guard, and a number of department and group leaders, officers from the Qatar Armed Forces, and the Ministry of Interior.
Commenting on the occasion, Commander of the Amiri Guard School Colonel Ali Arahma al-Muraikhi stressed during his speech that the school's strategy is to constantly develop modern training methods with the goal of raising the capabilities of members of the Amiri Guard to the highest level possible.
He praised the high level showcased by members of the Amiri Guard during the closing ceremony, adding that this reflects the skills they developed during the courses.
He said that the school is keen on enhancing the outcomes of security and protecting personalities courses by assigning rapid intervention and counter-terrorism forces and training them on how to respond quickly under various circumstances and conditions.
Following the speech, the course participants carried out a number of drills that showcased what they practiced.
The ceremony also included simulations in the field of military tactics related to counter-terrorism and rescuing hostages.
After the ceremony, Commander of the Amiri Guard honored the graduate and called on them to give their all to serve the country.
