The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Customs Training Center at the General Authority of Customs signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strengthening and sharing experiences in scientific and strategic research and aspects of training between the two sides.
The MoU was signed by HE the Director of the Diplomatic Institute Ambassador Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohamed al-Horr, and Director of the Customs Training Center Mubarak Ibrahim al-Buainain.
The MoU aims to develop and strengthen co-operation between the Institute and the Center for the mutual potentials of both sides in scientific research, strategy, international, economic and customs agreements, as well as studies related to how to deal with dignitaries and diplomatic protocols on joint work, exchange of experts, trainers, researchers, and specialists in the field of diplomatic handling of travelers and their bags and shipments, in addition to building and developing national capabilities and holding conferences and specialised scientific workshops.
It also aims to co-operate between the two sides in order to exchange experiences, hold programs and workshops, and carry out research and advisory activities and research projects in the field of diplomatic training, international agreements and related fields, and developing the capacities of the two sides' cadres in common areas.
The MoU includes co-operation in scientific research, diplomatic studies, international and economic relations, international agreements and other related fields, co-operation in education, theoretical and practical training, and providing training courses for the employees of both sides in common and related fields, in addition to exchanging professional experiences, trainers, and researchers in common fields, and holding conferences, seminars, and joint international, regional and specialised workshops related to academic, diplomatic, political, economic, customs and security relations.
It also includes cooperation between the two sides in preparing joint scientific research in areas of interest to both sides, and working to strengthen the links between researchers and the research teams of both sides.
