Indian Association of Bihar and Jharkhand (IABJ) Qatar management team recently met Dr Deepak Mittal, ambassador of India to Qatar, in his office and explored the activities of the association.
Their discussions focused on the social and cultural activities of IABJ in Qatar and the ways and means to strengthen co-operation between the Indian workers and the embassy, together with IABJ community members.
Xavier Dhanaraj, first secretary at embassy of India, was also present during the meeting. Afroz Ahmad Dawar, IABJ Qatar president, together with IABJ managing committee members briefed the ambassador about the motto, achievements and future plans of the organisation and expressed gratitude to the Indian embassy for all the support to IABJ Qatar and the community.
IABJ was founded by people from Bihar and Jharkhand in Qatar and is affiliated with the Indian Cultural Center under the aegis of embassy of India. IABJ is a socio-cultural non-profit organisation functioning in Qatar for community development and welfare of people.
Sajjad Alam, IABJ chairman; Shakeb Ahsan, patron; Hamid Raza, vice president; Nasim Khan, general secretary; Khalid Hussain, media secretary; and Ranjan Singh and Dr Ekramur Rasheed, IABJ managing committee members; were also present at the meeting.
