In implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, two aircraft of the Qatar Amiri Air Force landed in Beirut on Thursday carrying medical equipment provided by Qatar to Lebanon. The new shipment is provided by Qatar Fund for Development, to prepare two field hospitals sent on Wednesday that will be built in the cities of Tyre and Tripoli, as part of Qatar's continuing support to Lebanon. The consignment will help to deal with the shortages taking place in hospitals as a result of the spread of the coronavirus, and to support the efforts of the country in containing the epidemic. The two aircraft were received at Rafic Hariri International Airport by Acting Charge d'Affaires in the Qatari embassy in Beirut Ali Mohamed al-Mutawaa. On Wednesday, two aircraft of the Qatar Amiri Air Force landed in Beirut carrying two fully equipped field hospitals with a capacity of 500 beds each.
