HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi praised the speech delivered by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani at the opening of the 49th ordinary session of the Shura Council Tuesday, Qatar News Agency reported.
HE the Minister also offered congratulations to the State of Qatar and its loyal people for the announcement made by His Highness the Amir to hold the Shura Council elections in October 2021.
He added that Qatar is continuing to fulfil its obligations towards citizens. The next elected Shura Council would be an embodiment of the principle of partnership between citizens and the government, a firmly established principle in Qatar, he noted.
HE Dr al-Hammadi also appreciated the emphasis placed by His Highness the Amir on continuing to concentrate spending on education and health in the budget, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. He stressed that Qatar has unwavering strategic commitment to developing and providing a sustainable, innovative and high-quality education system for its people.
