The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) held a training programme on “Procedural Framework on Working in Qatari Waters.” 

Specialists from the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and various Qatari entities attended, a tweet by MoTC said.
The training programme featured a full explanation of the rules and procedures that must be followed as per Law 8/2016 on Maritime Vessels and Law 8/2017 on the Practice of Maritime Business in Qatari Waters.
The exercise is part of MoTC’s continuing efforts to scale up the skillsets of those working in the maritime industry at various entities across Qatar. At the end of the training, MoTC assistant undersecretary of Maritime Transport Affairs Dr Saleh bin Fetais al-Marri handed over training completion certificates to participants and wished them professional success.
